Signpost for ASL Educators: Feedback That Scales Alongside Your Class

Every ASL instructor runs into the same ceiling. Correction is the highest-value thing you do, and it is the thing you have the least time for. With a full class, each student gets a few seconds of individual attention, and the rest of their practice happens unsupervised and often uncorrectly.

Where the model helps, and where it does not

Signpost is not a replacement for an instructor, and we do not present it as one. It handles the mechanical layer, whether a handshape, location, and movement match the target sign, so that class time can go to the things a model cannot teach: register, cultural context, facial grammar, and real conversation.

Built with teachers, not at them

The curriculum and lesson order were reviewed by ASL educators who are both Deaf and hearing. If something in the sequence does not match how you teach, we want to hear it.
